I have been working on the lean too. Every time I start to feel my butt sit back in the bucket, I tighten up my core and try to push my hips forward. Hopefully this is right thing to do for the lean.
I suppose I ought to do more core work to make this easier and more efficient. Hate core work!
Went through the drills again this morning. I am still surprised at how such simple drills can get the heart rate up. Starting to enjoy them though. What is that a sign of?
Nice job working on the lean!! One way you can practice this lean is by jogging backwards a few steps, even in the middle of a long run (just as we did for the drill). This transition from backwards to forwards will create a lean. You can do this as a drill, as hopefully you have been doing, and you can even implement it into your runs! Every mile or two, jog backwards a few steps! And remember, the lean is the hardest of the 4 points... be patient, and give yourself some credit for the progress you've made thus far. :)
